Arrived early this morning, few of the students got any sleep on the plane. Most enjoyed the midnight meal and watched dome musical movie. Sequeira on the other hand slept LAX to SJO so as to stay awake on the all day drive to La Mona while the students either slept or fought it trying to take in all the new sights and sounds. Stopped on a bridge to peer over to see several massive crocodiles. Relaxing lunch of Subway sandwiches on Jack beach. Arrived in La Mona after dark to a warm welcome by our church family down here. Yummy tick supper (local food). Got everyone settled in with their Costa Rican families. Took a nice no hot water shower and am headed to bed. Will try to get some pictures tomorrow.
Toured the site after dropping the kids off. Feeling excited and ambitious. Going to attempt 3 projects while we are here! 1) flooring in the new classroom, 2) rust proof paint all the metal window and door stuff, and 3) install insulation in the ceiling of the old classroom! I think we can get all 3 done. Stoked!
